OAKLAND — Firefighters’ quick response helped bring an East Oakland house fire under control, authorities said Sunday.
Just after 4:20 p.m., firefighters responded to reports of smoke from a home in the 1100 block of East 11th Street, and were able to find fire in between its first and second floors.
The fire was brought under control just after 4:45 p.m., and there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage estimates.
