OAKLAND — A man was in critical condition Sunday after he was shot while driving his car in East Oakland on Saturday night, police said.
The name of the 43-year-old man was not released. Police said he was an Oakland resident.
The shooting happened about 10:25 p.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of Foothill Boulevard.
Police responding to a report of a traffic wreck found the man inside the car unconscious from at least one gunshot wound.
Police said the man was driving when he was shot and crashed into a parked vehicle.
He was taken to a hospital.
Police are trying to determine a motive for the shooting and identify suspects. No arrests have been made.
