HAYWARD — The local ham radio club will host its annual Field Day this weekend, when members will test their equipment and communicate with other operators around the world.
The event, set for Saturday and Sunday at the Civil Air Patrol, 1525 W. Winton Ave., is also a chance for the public to learn about the hobby. Members will be using voice, Morse code, data modes and satellites to communicate.
The Hayward Radio Club — call sign K6EAG — was established in 1952 and has hosted a Field Day every year since 1933.
