OAKLAND — A man fatally shot Friday night outside an East Oakland liquor store was identified by police Monday as Andre Landoner, 43.

A 32-year-old man wounded in the shooting is still recovering.

Police said Landoner, of Oakland, and the wounded man, also an Oakland resident, knew each other.

The men were shot about 9:30 p.m. Friday outside a liquor store in the 5900 block of MacArthur Boulevard, just east of Seminary Avenue near the Mills College campus.

Landoner died at the scene, and the other man was taken to a hospital. Other people were in the area when the shooting happened, but no other injuries were reported.

Police have not established a motive yet for the shooting and have not said if the men were shot by someone in a vehicle or someone who approached them on foot.

No description of the shooter has been released.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $15,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3821 or 510-238-7950 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
