OAKLAND — A man was hospitalized after he was beaten with a blunt object and robbed Friday morning in the Fruitvale district of East Oakland, authorities said.
The man’s condition was not available.
The attack happened just before 9 a.m. Friday in the 3200 block of International Boulevard.
The victim may have just left a nearby check cashing business before he was confronted by the robber. Police did not say what was taken from the victim, who was found bleeding profusedly.
The suspect fled in a car before police arrived. A detailed description of the suspect was not available.
