BART police need carslike fish need bicycles
I agree with Blair Alexander (“BART, forget the parking lots; focus on the trains,” Letters to the editor, Aug. 9).
We really need more BART officers policing the system. The visibility alone will help. And they don’t need to go in pairs; they could cover twice as many trains if they split up.
Get them the heck out of their police cars and into the paid areas of BART stations and trains.
Security cameras can watch the parking lots, possibly assisted by local police who would be called in to chase perpetrators anyway.
BART police need cars like fish need bicycles.
