From fashion to films to food, the Festival of Globe’s 26th annual India Day Festival in Fremont celebrates all facets of Indian culture.

The jam-packed schedule — it’s five days’ worth this year — culminates Aug. 19 in a grand parade of 30 floats and 100 cars in Fremont.

First up is the Aug. 15-17 movie fest at the AMC Mercado in Santa Clara and an Aug. 17 night fashion fest at the India Community Center in Milpitas.

Then the focal point becomes 39439 Paseo Padre Parkway in Fremont, where 200 booths will set up for the weekend-long cultural and health fair and carnival (mela). A dance competition runs all day Aug. 18, with performances Aug. 19 too.

The parade sets out at 11 a.m. Aug. 19 and runs till 1 p.m.

Details: Admission is free for the mela, health fair and parade; 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday-Sunday; www.fogsv.com.
