A motorcyclist who died following a crash Sunday night on a San Francisco freeway has been identified as 19-year-old Caleb Poole of Oakland, according to the city’s medical examiner’s office.
Around 9:40 p.m., Poole was riding on the connector from southbound U.S. Highway 101 (Central Freeway) to eastbound Interstate 80 when his motorcycle went down, California Highway Patrol officials said. Poole was ejected from the bike and landed on the roadway. The motorcycle went off of the side of the elevated connector.
Poole was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to CHP officials.
