Marchand, Woerner, Munrowill keep Livermore on path
Re: “Livermore voters should reward for city’s fiscal success” (Editorial, Oct. 5):
I have been watching politics in Livermore for 30 years and your analysis of the current election is right on the mark. Your endorsement of Mayor John Marchand and Councilmember Bob Woerner is justified by the careful stewardship and efficient use of Livermore’s resources.
Through careful planned growth, Livermore has kept its small-town charm and high levels of service to its residents. New candidate Trish Munro has shown her commitment by attending numerous City Council meetings. Her social science background will, when elected, increase the focus on services for vulnerable populations like seniors, disadvantaged youths and the homeless.
I believe that to keep Livermore on a path to a sound financial future, protect the environment and ensure Livermore remains a great place to live and raise a family, on November 6, our best choice is John Marchand for mayor and Bob Woerner and Trish Munro for Council.
