Nick (Swaggy P) Young isn’t too proud to beg for a roster spot on an NBA team.
Hang on a sec — maybe he is after all.
You remember Young from his time with the Warriors last season. He came off the bench on opening night to drain six of seven 3-pointers. It turned out to be his most explosive, efficient game of the season. He finished with an average of 7.3 points, tying the low for his 12-year NBA career.
He had/has a great smile and a fun-loving aura, on display here during the Warriors’ victory parade:
But there was no doubt at the end of the season that he was a one-and-done with Golden State.
He’s a free agent now, still searching for a team in need of a gunner for hire. Last night, shortly after the Lakers fell to Portland in the first game of the LeBron James era, Young, who calls L.A. home, apparently advertised his services in a tweet: “I’m right here.”
He must have had second thoughts, because he then deleted the tweet. Thankfully, Bleacher Report was there to snatch the rebound:

“That team be a complete circus if they added him they might as well go get Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton and add Jr Smith while u at it”
