CASTRO VALLEY — Firefighters were able to contain a 3-acre grass fire that threatened structures along a street Wednesday, authorities said.
Just after 2:30 p.m., Alameda County Fire Department firefighters responded to reports of flames on a hillside above northbound lanes of Crow Canyon Road just south of Cull Canyon Road.
About 3:50 p.m., the department said that the blaze, dubbed the Crown Fire, had been contained, and that no one was injured.
