Recent storms that drenched much of California this with rain week and last week also have brought significant snowfall to the Sierra Nevada.
After a dry October and November, with soot in the air from the Butte County wildfire, snow is now thick over hundreds of miles of California’s most famous mountain range. At least 1 foot fell Thursday at most resorts, with more than 2 feet expected in some areas by Friday, and another storm due Saturday.
