OAKLAND — A 30-year-old San Francisco man fatally shot Sunday night outside an Uptown district club was identified by police Friday as James Mayes.
No motive has been determined yet and no arrests have been made, investigators said.
The shooting happened about 9:35 p.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of Franklin Street outside Club 21, authorities said. Mayes was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Mayes, who they were told was a construction worker, had just left the club when he was shot. No one else was injured.
