Dress code a decisionadults should make
Re: “How is wearing pajamas conducive to learning?” (Letter to the editor, Jan. 3):
The issue is not whether students should be allowed to wear one thing or another. The issue is who should make the decision.
The Alameda superintendent erred in deferring that decision to children instead of making a decision that rightfully belongs to adults.
How one presents himself in public does matter. Mark Zuckerberg wouldn’t dare present himself before the U.S. Congress without a shirt and tie and the stripes had better be there.
