From the SF Beer Week extravaganza to a plethora of chocolate pairings, here’s what’s happening on the Bay Area’s wine, beer and cocktail scene in February and beyond.

SF Beer Week: Feb. 1-10, various Bay Area locations. Enjoy more than 900 beer-centric events at venues across the bay, from beer-unch to brewmaster dinners, IPA extravaganzas, sour festivals and more. Ticket prices vary. Find schedules and details at https://sfbeerweek.org.

Paint Night at Markham: 6:30-9 p.m. Feb. 7, Markham Vineyards, 2812 St. Helena Highway North, St. Helena. Sip wine while you get creative at the easel. The event includes light bites, wine, a painting lesson and materials. $55. www.markhamvineyards.com/events/

Port, Wine & Chocolate Lovers Weekend: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 9-10, Old Sugar Mill, 35265 Willow Ave., Clarksburg. Wine Country Distillery Festival: 12-4 p.m. Feb. 9, Sally Tomatoes, 1100 Valley House Drive, Rohnert Park. This inaugural festival celebrates local craft spirits distilleries. Sample libations and local food bites, and enjoy live music and a cocktail competition at this benefit for Sonoma County’s nonprofit Social Advocates for Youth. San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition Public Tasting: 1-4 p.m. Feb. 16, Festival Pavilion, Fort Mason Center, 2 Marina Blvd., San Francisco. Over 1,500 wineries submitted more than 5,000 wines to this competition. Sample the winning sips, talk to winemakers and sample charcuterie, cheeses and desserts. Annual Barrel Tasting: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. March 1-3 and March 8-10, Wine Road, Northern Sonoma County. Sample wines from the barrel at 100 wineries, talk to winemakers and explore the Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys. Evening of Wishes: 6:30 p.m. March 22, The Ritz Carlton, 600 Stockton St., San Francisco. Cocktail reception featuring local wines, hors d’oeuvres and silent auction. The evening continues with a three-course dinner paired with fine wines for each course. Livermore Barrels, Bottles and Brews: Noon-4:30 p.m. March 23-24, participating Livermore Valley wineries. Start the day with two wine country brunches, then sample wine straight from the barrel and chat with winemakers at more than 30 Livermore Valley wineries. $45-$65. www.lvwine.org.

Napa Chocolate & Wine: 3-6 p.m. March 24, Meritage Resort & Spa, 875 Bordeaux Way, Napa. More than 30 local wineries and chocolatiers are participating in this benefit for Napa kids.
