Former First Lady Michelle Obama coming to Bay Area for Oracle Arena event

OAKLAND — Former First Lady Michelle Obama will be making her first 2018 trip to the Bay Area next month, when she comes to Oracle Arena for a moderated event.

The March 28 event begins at 8 p.m. and is billed as a moderated conversation. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Monday, starting at $93.50. But pre sale has already started, with single front row VIP seats going for a base price of $3,150. Those interested must use the code MICHELLE.

The event will follow a question-and-answer format, and a moderator has not been announced. Doors will open at 6 p.m. It will be Obama’s first appearance in the Bay Area since November.

As First Lady, Obama championed education and healthy living. She launched the Let’s Move initiative, which promoting exercise and nutritional diets.
