EMERYVILLE — Loud music blaring from a vehicle led to the arrest of an Antioch man Saturday night and the seizure of narcotics, cash and a gun, police said Tuesday.

The sour notes for Elbert McBride, 49, began about 10:42 p.m. Saturday after police received a call regarding cars playing loud music in the 1000 block of 45th Street.

Police said while investigating the noise complaint officers saw a handgun in plain view on the floor board of the car that McBride was driving.

He was detained without incident and a subsequent search revealed a bit more than two grams of cocaine and $1,100 in cash, Capt. Oliver Collins said.

Police are trying to determine the ownership of  the gun.

McBride was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics for sale,  transportation of narcotics for sale, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition by a felon, and possession of a high capacity magazine.

He was being held in lieu of $240,000 bail.
