EMERYVILLE — Police arrested a man who robbed a bank armed with a gun, police said Saturday.
Lavon Broach, 52, of Oakland, was arrested Friday before 1 p.m. by Emeryville police on suspicion of robbing a Wells Fargo bank.
Police responded to the Wells Fargo at 5801 Christie Avenue Monday around 5:45 p.m. A man who displayed a gun and demanded cash from a bank teller had fled the scene, police said. No one was injured inside the bank.
Although police weren’t able to immediately locate the alleged robber, detectives followed up on leads all week, eventually leading them to Broach, police said.
