OAKLAND — A woman is facing 20 years in federal prison on charges that she committed two Bay Area bank robberies a week apart from each other last year.
On Thursday, Kenyonna Farr, 29, was indicted on two counts of bank robbery, one alleging she robbed a Wells Fargo on Lakeshore Avenue in Oakland last October, and another alleging she robbed a Wells Fargo on Linden Avenue in South San Francisco last November.
In the first robbery she is alleged to have stolen more than $11,000. In the second, authorities say she made off with only $323.
In 2010, Farr was arrested for allegedly robbing a bank in Montclair. Police at the time said she was wearing a mask when she gave a demand note to a teller, but the mask slipped down before she got the money and her face was captured on a surveillance camera.
