Sheriff knows jails aren’t
resorts, should not resign
In response to Kathleen Epperson’s letter “County should probe jails, ask sheriff to step down” (April 3):
Ms. Epperson may not be a fan of law enforcement. I am extremely confident with Sheriff David Livingston’s ability, experience, commitment and sensitivity to enforcing current laws enacted.
Jails are not resorts. Because the sheriff has not selectively chosen a “room-service policy” for illegal immigrants or criminals is no reason to suggest resignation. I support the sheriff.
