OAKLAND — Fourteen men and women said they were robbed at gunpoint early Friday by as many as eight suspects at a Chinatown mahjongg parlor, authorities said.
No one was injured.
The robbery was reported at 1 a.m. at the parlor in the 200 block of 11th Street where the centuries-old tile game was being played.
Police said up to eight suspects, all men armed with guns, rushed into the club and took money and other items before fleeing.
Detailed descriptions of the suspects were not released.
The parlor was open for business later Friday but no one there wanted to comment.
