BERKELEY — Police have lifted a shelter-in-place order after an investigation in the Poet’s Corner neighborhood into a family dispute.
Officers responded to initial reports of the dispute at a residence in the 2300 block of Acton Street around 2 p.m., Berkeley police Sgt. Andrew Frankel said.
Police issued an alert just after 2:30 p.m., blocking off Acton between Channing and Bancroft ways with police tape.
The alert was lifted around 5 p.m., with a fwe officers remaining on scene and hoping to speak with all of the family members about what started it, Frankel said.
There were no injuries reported, and no outside agencies were involved.
