Hayward residents invited to serve on boards and commissions

HAYWARD — Residents who are registered voters can apply to serve on a city board, commission or task force.

Currently, the Community Services Commission has five vacancies and the Downtown Hayward Business Improvement Area Advisory Board has six vacancies.

The Keep Hayward Clean and Green Task Force has nine vacancies.

Fifteen seats on the Youth Commission, as well as eight alternates on the commission, will become vacant June 30.

Applicants for the Youth Commission must be between 13 and 20 years old and live within the city limits or within the boundaries of the Hayward Unified School District.
