OAKLAND — A man and his girlfriend were wounded in a West Oakland shooting Thursday night, police said Friday.
Their wounds were not life-threatening, and the two were in stable condition. The woman is 35 and the man 34, police said.
The shooting happened at 11:56 p.m. Thursday in the 3200 block of Adeline Street.
Officers answering a ShotSpotter activation found the two wounded. They told police they heard gunfire and realized they had been shot. They were taken to a hospital.
Police said the two live in another part of Oakland and had been visiting friends in the area before the shooting. Police don’t have a motive yet and are trying to determine if the two were the intended targets. Police said there may have been more than one shooter but no arrests have been made.
Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of whoever did the shooting. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
