Say this about Mychal Kendricks — he’s consistent.

Charged with insider trading in August, the former Cal football standout acknowledged his crime. Kendricks on Thursday pleaded guilty in a federal courtroom in Philadelphia, TMZ Sports reported.

“I know I was wrong,” he told the judge, according to TMZ. “I know that I made the decision to accept information, secret information, and it wasn’t the right thing to do.”

Authorities believe Kendricks conspired with co-defendant Damilare Sonoiki, a writer for the TV series “Black-ish,” plying Sonoiki with perks such as tickets to Philadelphia Eagles games in exchange for private information that allowed him to make approximately $1.2 million off of stock options.

Kendricks was drafted by Philadelphia after playing 51 games over four seasons at Cal. He spent six seasons with the Eagles, helping the team to a Super Bowl victory in February.

Kendricks signed with the Cleveland Browns during the offseason. The Browns released him shortly after he was charged.

“While I didn’t fully understand all of the details of the illegal trades, I knew it was wrong, and I wholeheartedly regret my actions,” Kendricks said in a statement released by his lawyer shortly after he was indicted. “I am committed to repaying all of the funds gained illegally and accept the consequences of my actions.

One of the consequences could be up to 25 years in prison. Kendricks is scheduled to be sentenced in December.
