OAKLAND — A 47-year-old man was shot during a robbery Friday night in East Oakland, police said Saturday.
He is expected to recover from a single gunshot wound.
The man told police he was in the 10800 block of International Boulevard about 7:30 p.m. Friday when a man with a gun confronted him and demanded his valuables.
The man told police he turned over some personal items to the robber but then tried to grab the robber’s gun, which resulted in him being shot. He got his own transportation to a hospital.
A detailed description of the robber was not released. No arrests have been made.
