SAN LEANDRO — A man suffered life-threatening injuries Friday afternoon in a house
fire, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived at 4:12 p.m. to find heavy smoke coming from a house in the 1200 block of 145th Avenue.
Firefighters forced their way into the burning home and found a man in the back and rescued him. The man suffered life-threatening smoke inhalation and was taken
to a hospital.
The fire was extinguished about 10 minutes after firefighters arrived, fire officials said. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one else was injured.
