BERKELEY — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect who broke into a residence before stealing property and sexually battering a female resident.
In a statement, police said the suspect entered a home in the 2400 block of Blake Street before taking items and attacking the resident.
The suspect was described as African-American, 20 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-6 with a medium build, dark-complexioned with a square-shaped face, clean-shaven with balding or very short hair, and wearing a three-button polo shirt that was orange in color from the collar to the chest and horizontally striped below.
