SAN LEANDRO — The body of an unidentified male was pulled from the city’s marina shoreline Sunday, authorities said.
Around 3:30 p.m., police responded to the report of the body on the shoreline, San Leandro police Lt. Ted Henderson said.
When officers arrived at the marina off Monarch Bay Drive, they found the body, which had no obvious signs of trauma and was not immediately identifiable by race or age.
Deputies with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office coroner’s bureau responded to the scene and took possession of the body around 4:10 p.m., covering it in a blue tarp as dozens of onlookers visiting the marina watched.
