OAKLAND — A 19-year-old man who told police he was shot Tuesday night as he drove in West Oakland was in stable condition Wednesday at a hospital, authorities said.
Despite being wounded, the man was able to drive himself to the hospital, authorities said.
The man told police he was shot sometime after 9 p.m. Tuesday as he drove in the area of 12th and Union streets.
He said he did not see a shooter and did not know why anyone would want to shoot him. No arrests have been made.
