HAYWARD — A 31-year-old man was shot Thursday afternoon in an apparent road-rage, police said.
The man got his own transportation to a hospital and was in stable condition with a non-life threatening wound, authorities said.
The shooting happened at 1:06 p.m. Thursday on Main Street just north of A Street.
Sgt. Greg Velasquez said the case was under investigation but it appeared that the man shot and the occupant of another vehicle were involved in some type of argument when the occupant of the other vehicle first brandished a gun and then shot the victim.
No other injuries were reported.
The shooter is being sought. A detailed description of the suspect was not immediately released.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at 510-293-7034.
