The Super Blood Wolf Moon was all that it promised to be, at least in areas where it could be seen through the clouds. A rainy day in the Bay Area eased just as the eclipse entered its prime moments and photographers captured it in San Francisco, Oakland and elsewhere.
And around the world, amateur astronomers and lunar-philes pointed their cameras skyward and posted their photos on Twitter. Here’s how it looked:
