Like a professional bodybuilder, Burgerim is attempting to bulk up rapidly.

The Israel-based build-your-own-burger chain wants to grow from fewer than 30 locations in the United States to 130 by the end of the year.

To that end, it has declared March “brand opening month” with three weeks of promotions, beginning with selling its little burgers at a little price.

Burgerim prefers the term sensible-sized burgers to sliders, but it intends them to be consumed in the same way, selling them in packs of one to 16. It has 11 options for its 2.8 ounce patties: dry aged beef, spicy beef, Wagyu beef, Spanish beef, chorizo, salmon, lamb, turkey, chicken, falafel and veggie.

So on Monday, March 5, it will be selling 11 cent burgers to the first 111 guests to arrive at a participating location after 5 p.m. and share their local Burgerim’s pinned Facebook post, according to a news release.

Burgerim has less than 20 restaurants in California, but it has announced more than 50 are coming soon.

Stores that are currently open in the Bay Area are Pleasant Hill, Pleasanton and San Jose

Next week’s other promotions include $2 combos on Tuesday, March 6; 55 cent wings on Wednesday, March 7; free beverage with burger purchase on Thursday, March 8; and Family Packs (burgers, fries, wings and onion rings) for $24.99 on Friday, March 9.

Subsequent promotions include $1.11 burgers to the first 111 guests who share on Facebook after 5 p.m. on March 12 and seven burgers for $11 to the first 111 guests after 5 p.m. on March 19.
