Hall of Fame

Pittsburg: The Pittsburg Football Hall of Fame Awards Banquet will take place on May 19 at Church of the Good Shepherd (3200 Harbor Street in Pittsburg). The inductees are Albert Seeno Sr., Willie Herrera, Jason Walker, Ken Simonton Sr., Les Trapps Jr., Paul Lacasse, James Shipe Sr. and the 1985 North Coast Section championship team. Ygnacio Valley: Ygnacio Valley High School is holding its sixth annual Hall of Fame induction dinner on May 19 at the Contra Costa Country Club in Pleasant Hill. The inductees are Craig Johnson (1975), Rob Tomlinson (1986), Shanita Bryant Williams (00), Dave Zawatson (1984), Gary Schneider (1970, posthumously), Swimming Coach Gino Barsuglia (posthumously) and the 1971 varsity football team.

East Bay Rowing Club: Learn to Row two-week program from May 6-20 at the Jack London Aquatic Center in Oakland. The program offers limited spots to guarantee dedicated attention. Cost is $150. Artemis Rowing Club: Hosting Learn to Row camps for students in grades 6-12 at the Jack London Aquatic Center at 115 Embarcadero East in Oakland this summer. No experience necessary. Tickets for JaVale McGee’s Fourth Annual Juglife Foundation Water For Life charity softball game are now on sale through juglifewater.com. The event will take place at the Oakland Coliseum on June 23. It benefits Juglife Foundation. Ticket prices start at $30.

Crawdads Camps: Registration is now open for the Summer Crawdads Camps. They will take place June 4-7, June 25-20 and July 15-19 from 8:30 to 12:30. The camps will be held at The Fieldhouse in Concord and also at a local field TBD.
